Vía Ferrata Pucón Tour

A unique combination of hiking and climbing suitable for mountain and nature lovers or people looking for adventure and adrenaline. Built in the heart of Cerduo Valley by our own Mawida Adventures guides, The Vía Ferrata Pucón tour is an exclusive trip, away from other visitors.

An adventure in the mountains

We start at our office in Pucón, and using 4x4 vehicles we head into the Cerdúo Valley, 45 minutes from Pucón.

Once we arrive, we can already see the imponent mountain we are going up. The Vía Ferrata Pucón tour starts with a hike by diving deep into the native mountain forest. Once out of the forest we scramble a section of big rocks that were once attached to the mountain we are climbing.

Done with the first challenge and our warmup, we reach the bottom of the Vía Ferrata Pucón. Here, 300 meters of vertical climb is right above, we put on our specialized safety equipment: climbing helmet, harness and vía ferrata lanyard. The guide demonstrates how to use it and we attach ourselves to the safety metal cable, installed throughout the whole climb. To help us progress with confidence, the are metal pegs and steps in the rockface.

As we ascend we can feel the wind and get stunning views of the valley and mountains. Done climbing, we walk through the ridge of the mountain to the reach the summit. With a privileged view of Villarrica Volcano, the summit is thrilling. To get down, the guide lowers you out of the summit with a rappel and starts the hike down dense mountain forest. The terrain gradually becomes less steep, and we cross rivers and logs, while hearing the native birds.

The Vía Ferrata Pucón Tour is a unique experience to connect with nature and ourselves.

This activity requires good physical condition, and a lot of attitude. Minimum age of 10 years.

Ask us for a Sunset option or an overnight stay in the summit.
