The Huerquehue National Park is one of the most attractive destinations for nature lovers. This park is famous for its beautiful scenery, as well as the richness of the native flora and founa found in it. A natural gem that has been protected for more than a hundred years, Huerquehue is perfect for hiking, and a great snowshoeing destination during winter season.

There are 2 main trail alternatives with different difficulty.
- The Lakes Trail is an ideal trail for those looking for a moderate walk. This trail goes by Tinquilco Lake, Chico Lake, Verde Lake, Toro Lake, Nido de Aguilas Waterfall and Trufulco Waterfall. These lakes posses an enchanting scenery, with different water colors. The waterfalls, with staggering granite walls and jumping water. During winter season, the lakes are frozen and the Araucaria and Coihue forest is covered in snow.
- Another option is the San Sebastián Mountain Taril, which is of higher difficulty, requiring a greater physical effort. It is the highest point in the park, standing out and above of everything that is around it. From the summit, you can see the entire Huerquehue National Park, at least 7 different volcanoes, multiple lakes, green lush valleys and bending rivers. This more technical trail offers some of the best views in the area and a great sense of satisfaction when reaching the summit.
Adventure in southern Chile
