Stargazing Experience at Villarrica Volcano

The stargazing experience consists of observing the pristine skies of Araucanía from the base of Villarrica Volcano.

Depending on the state of the volcano, it is also possible to witness its luminescence and activity at night.

A guide accompanies the visitors, showing them different constellations and their significance in the Mapuche worldview.

Binoculars and a telescope are provided for the observation. Additionally, incredible astrophotographs are captured, and advice is given on how to take such images.

The tour starts at our agency at different times depending on the time of year (around 8:00 PM). We travel in a 4x4 vehicle adapted for the activity and ascend to the base of the volcano. In about 40 minutes, we arrive at the location where we will set up.

The activity ends around 11:00 PM or midnight, once we return to our agency or your hotel.
